Reach - An Ambitious EU Project
REACH is a new chemicals reform made by the EU. The reform came into action on June 1 2007 and is implemented gradually over 15 years. The target of REACH is among other things to secure a high level of protection for people and environment.
At Johnsen we work actively with REACH. We seek actively to embody the demands to change chemical products. And we monitor closely the development of products in close contact with our advisors and sub-contractors. In reality this means that in our production we use the chemical products which have the least impact on the environment and the work environment.
Grafisk Arbejdsgiverforening (GA), i.e. The Union of Graphical Employers, plays a very active part as coordinator on the REACH project within the graphic industry. GA has opened the website 'miljønet.org' where relevant information and advice is accessible.
